What's better than one World Champion...
It’s been a whirlwind week here at Bodyboard Holidays! We’ve just wrapped up two incredible events: our Ladies Bodyboard Retreat in Cornwall and the Jeff Hubbard Bodyboard Camp in Portugal. With over a year of meticulous planning, it was incredibly rewarding to see everything come together and witness the pure joy of our guests from around the world.
While our team was busy guiding 3X World Champion Jeff Hubbard and his eager students through the stunning landscapes of southern Portugal, our Cornish coastline was ablaze with excitement as our Ladies Bodyboard Retreat unfolded. The highlight? Having the legendary 2017 World Champion, Iain Campbell, join Bodyboard Holidays founder Rob Barber and former European Ladies Champion Lisa Cutts to create an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Our Cornwall retreat was a melting pot of ages, abilities, and nationalities, with participants hailing from the USA, Europe, and the UK. We were thrilled to share our beloved county with these amazing women, exploring both the north and south coasts of Kernow. Every day was a boog-a-thon, with perfect waves and plenty of opportunities to soak up the Cornish lifestyle. When we weren’t riding the waves, our guests indulged in delicious local cuisine, found inner peace through yoga, and even indulged in a little retail therapy.
On the continent, our Portugal adventure with Jeff Hubbard was equally epic. Guests from Puerto Rico, South Africa, the UK, and Europe embarked on a bodyboarding journey of a lifetime. Combining Bodyboard Holidays’ renowned coaching methods with Hubbard’s unparalleled expertise, our guests gained a huge boost to their bodyboarding skills. When they weren’t honing their craft, they relaxed in our luxurious accommodation, took refreshing dips in the rooftop pool, and explored the vibrant town of Lagos.
Behind the scenes, the Bodyboard Holidays team has been working tirelessly to make these two epic events (amongst others) a reality. Alex Clark, instrumental in organising both trips, said, “Organising these trips from scratch has been a challenge, but seeing the joy on our guests’ faces makes it all worth it. Sharing our passion for bodyboarding with others is incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.”
