Your Morocco team has worked with Bodyboard-Holidays for over a decade. We have one of the top local bodyboarders as our guide and supporting water instructor and a logistics team made up of some local legends, all with decades of experience, they all receive in-house training – so you can be sure of being in safe hands for your entire trip.
Bodyboard Holidays is delighted to announce that Jeff Hubbard will be joining us as a guest-pro in Morocco 2025. Jeff Hubbard is 3 x IBA World Champion (2006, 2009, 2012), 5 x IBA Pipeline Champion, 11 x United States National Title Holder, and has many other podiums to his name. Jeff is from Kauai, Hawaii, but he’ll be joining our coaching team for one amazing week; this is your chance to learn from and bodyboard alongside the best.
Jeff is a dynamic bodyboarder, who after decades on the world tour is still a heavyweight contender. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of bodyboarding to new heights, and his technique is distinctive due to his penchant for insane aerial manoeuvres. Jeff’s fitness and core strength are next level, giving him the confidence and ability to hit bigger sections on more sizable waves than any other bodyboarder in the world. Jeff’s trademark moves are his split leg invert and looped 360 airs, and he’s also one of the only bodyboarders to ever successfully land an aerial 720; so if being in the presence of this talent doesn’t get you hooked on the sport then nothing will. While Jeff is a great drop knee rider he is more well known for his prone. That’s why Mave, our drop knee expert is the perfectly placed assistant coach to work with Jeff.
Matt, Mave to his friends, has been Bodyboarding since he was 15 years old - now with over 30 years of bodyboarding under his belt it’s shaped his life in amazing ways and taken him all over the world. Mave has been living in Portugal for 15 years now, and has been coming on the Morocco trip for over 10 years, Mave has been working with Bodyboard Holidays for 15 years and is a highlight of the trip for guests and staff alike, he loves to meet great people and make new friends to share his passion for Bodyboarding with. A great prone rider, Mave is well known for his drop knee talents and is widely recognised as one of the best in Portugal.

"Bodyboard Holidays absolutely smashed it! First time taking a trip with them and they've got Morocco dialled. Rob brings expert coaching and analysis, as well as infectious enthusiasm. Chris puts in a shift filming, capturing all the action, invaluable for analysis and your social media fix. He also spends his time editing choice trip highlights. Add to this awesome local guides getting you amongst it, class accommodation and mouth watering food. Travelled solo and the group couldn't have been better, like minded people after waves and adventure. Definitely won't be my last trip with Bodyboarding Holidays."

"Fantastic week in Morocco for me and my husband Ali. We are both relatively new to bodyboarding and we were a bit nervous about the trip and our abilities. The coaching really helped us to progress and the local Moroccan team was amazingly welcoming and patient with us! A great group of guests of all abilities - everyone ensuring that waves were shared and supporting each other as we learned. The guest house and food were top notch - roof terrace a real bonus."

Your Moroccan accommodation are unique buildings designed in a traditional local style and finished to a high standard – they’re designed with our groups in mind and perfectly positioned for easy access to the village and the coast.
The surf villa and apartment accommodation contain large, airy rooms to help dissipate the heat, and offer huge balconies as well as swimming pool access in some properties.
The accommodation is totally secure and well-maintained, with friendly staff on hand to make your stay as hassle-free and comfortable as possible.
Morocco hoovers up North and the Westerly Atlantic swells. This means as well as being super reliable, there is constant wedgey fun! This is a trip for riders who fancy riding in warm water, and is plenty to keep even the highest standard bodyboarder amped!
The coaching team will study the weather chart and conditions each day to ensure you get to bodyboard at the best location for your abilities. Once in the water Jeff, alongside our coaching team will help you with wave selection and hunting down the most suitable waves for you.
Jeff’s coaching is first-rate, putting you in the best possible environment to get ahead and fast-track your learning and development. Jeff will give on-land and in-water demonstrations, and break skills and sequences down, move-by-move, to help you finesse the delicate details of the sport. He’ll also bodyboard alongside you and give you pointers in the moment.
The rest of our coaching team will work alongside Jeff offering hands-on daily tuition tailored to your ability with instructors who are in-house qualified and fully insured. Some have 30 years of surfing experience and 20 years of worldwide travel experience, all trained by multiple-times British National Champion and Team Coach Rob Barber.
The Bodyboard coaching team will take footage of you in the water for your video analysis sessions, but it’s the coaching team’s wealth of experience that will translate this footage into a hugely valuable learning tool. This is where the eureka moments will happen as your coaches give detailed feedback during video/photo analysis sessions to fine-tune your technique with an attention to detail you won’t have experienced before.
To aid with this, you’ll be asked to fill out a pre-trip form and chat candidly during your video call about how to get the most out of the trip. The emphasis is of course on fun! If you’ve not attended a coaching holiday before, we will have a surf assessment, get to grips with your riding and help plot a path of improvement. By the time you fly home, you’ll be well on your way to reaching that next level; huge improvements are guaranteed!
We aim to have one long session or two shorter sessions each day depending on the swell, tide and wind conditions.
If you already rip and are just looking forward to tackling some super fun, warm water barrels, you’ll love Morocco – a daily routine of wedges and points, sharing waves with like-minded bodyboarders, while having the footage documented in desert offshores. What’s not to love?
Seeing yourself bodyboard is a fantastic way to improve your performance. Every day you’ll watch a move-by-move breakdown of your bodyboarding session with footage both from the land and in the water. Mave is a great in-water photographer with the trusty Go Pro and he as well as our Moroccan team shoot land footage, deciding which is best for each session…
You’ll get to take a photo and video package home with you at the end of the week too, which is a helpful tool for your ongoing progress and an epic memento of your trip. It will all be uploaded to an online gallery as you go so you have access to all your best shots and videos to upload throughout the week. We love seeing your waves on social media so feel free to share them as you like and make all your friends wildly jealous!
You will need to arrange your own flights to Al Massira Airport (AGA) in Morocco.
We highly recommend that you have a read of our ‘How to book a flight’ blog post to help you organise the best flights for your holiday.
Once you’ve collected your bags we’ll meet you in the arrivals area. Look out for our representatives, they’ll have a clipboard with “Bodyboard-Holidays” written on it and will be looking out for people with bodyboard bags.
Once everyone has arrived we’ll travel in groups to our accommodation. This will take about 2 hours. You may have a short wait as the rest of the group assembles. It’s worth bringing a book, a Kindle or an iPad and some snacks to keep you going.
Airport transfers are included in the price, if you can make the times that we have available.
The (inclusive in price) airport pick up time on the first and last day syncs up with the Gatwick to Agadir flights on the first and last day.
Pick up times – 09:30 – 11:00
Return to the airport at 08:15
We will cover these with you during your pre trip video call. If you can’t make the time, there will be a charge for the taxi transfer, please see ‘What To Budget For’ for further information on this.
The journey time to our accommodation from the airport is approximately two hours.
Some guests choose to fly into Marrakech before taking a taxi through the Atlas Mountains to our location. This option is also possible, however you are responsible for the cost of your transfer. Again we can cover how this can be organised during your pre trip video call.
The trip officially ends after breakfast on the final day. After a surf-stoked week, we’ll leave our accommodation to drop you back at the airport in good time for a stress-free check-in.
Please note that we offer one free transfer per day and, again, we ask you to try and plan your flight times to sync up with the drop-off. If your flight is earlier or later than this, we can arrange a transfer back to the airport at an additional cost of £80. If you travel with other guests this price can be split between you. Or if you are happy to arrive at the airport early for your flight you can chill at the airport with a good book, of course!
If you’d like to leave later, we have a space where you can leave your bags for the day. You will just need to cover the cost of your additional transfer.
If your flight includes a stop, please allow enough time to make your connection and factor in short delays.
If you’re worried about booking your flight and you’re based in the UK, give our good friend Lee at Dial A Flight a call on 020 7295 1556. Lee’s been booking our flights for the last 10 years and will find you the best deal and connection time. He can even book the whole trip for you, so you can relax and just rock up to the airport!
Once you’ve booked we’ll send you further information on how everything works upon your arrival. We’ll also be tracking your flight and keeping you informed via your WhatsApp group.
Our hosts supply very tasty and nutritional breakfasts, lunches and dinners which have received many rave reviews by our customers. We have a skilled, local, on-site chef who cooks up a storm!
The food is super healthy and is created using fresh local produce with vegetarian options on offer. We pay the local chef directly, please see the Budget section for food costs.
Food
Snacks
We suggest you budget £4 per day to cover any additional snacks, Moroccan teas, coffees or ice creams during the day.
Airport Transfers
If you can’t make our airport transfer times you should budget £80 each way. If there is another member of the group travelling at the same time this can be split between you. We can explain how this works during the video call.

Nearly all International mobile networks work in Morocco, there’s also WiFi at the villa.
Yes, there is good wifi connection throughout the accommodation but in our experience, it isn’t strong enough to stream movies or download large files.
You’ll be asked to fill in an enrolment form as part of the booking process. You’ll signify which level of bodyboarder you are. You may be in a different group suited to your ability, however, there will be plenty of time to see each other back at the accommodation and during our social evening meals.

We may also adjust the format of the week, for example, choosing to run more bodyboard sessions on the days that the waves are at their best.
Please visit our Terms & Conditions for more information.
The area that we visit is blessed with constant surf, you can expect great conditions most days of the trip. To give you a clearer idea, the videos on this webpage were all filmed during previous bodyboard holiday trips.
We do not offer a discount for bringing your own equipment.
Remember to check the baggage size and weight allowance with your airline, as well as reading their guidance for carrying bodyboards. Baggage handlers can be unforgiving, so a tough bag and intelligent packing are a must.
Firstly, pack your board(s) in a protective, padded board bag, and write FRAGILE and TOP LOAD ONLY on it with a permanent marker. Make sure you wrap your towel and clothes around your board inside the bag for added protection. Place your shampoo and other wet toiletries in a separate sealed bag in case of leakage. We also recommend locking the zips on your bag with a padlock.
Visas are not required for British and European passport holders for stays under 90 days. Passports must be valid for three months from the date of entry into Portugal. Non-European travellers should seek advice about visa requirements from their travel agent.
If you’re not a British national, please check international travel requirements for your nationality.
Please contact your travel agent or airline if you have any further questions. It’s a good idea to carry photocopies of your important documents and guide books and pack them separately. We also suggest scanning copies and emailing them to yourself for extra reassurance.
If you are under 18, we will need to chat to you on the phone and you will need to be accompanied on the trip by a parent or guardian throughout the holiday. If you are 60 or over we’d love to chat with you about the trip before you book. Please contact us via our online chat.
On the day you travel please keep your mobile phone handy so we can stay in touch in case of delays and flight changes. Please inform us if you’re early or delayed for any reason. We have a Whatsapp group to stay connected every step of the way.
If you need help booking your flight then just drop us a line or read our helpful blog post about booking flights.

Upon booking the trip you will receive a direct mobile number of a member of the in-country team so that you can contact them if you need them.
