James has bodyboarded since 1986. He grew up surfing Godrevy and lives on Cornwall’s south coast. Scouted in Costa Rica, he passed our instructor training then gained his beach lifeguard qualification. Previously a firefighter, he’s now on the coaching team with Bodyboard Holidays and Newquay Activity Centre. He loves travel, waves and mates and now shares the stoke with his daughter Chloe. On flat days he walks the coast or rides bikes. His favourite spots: Costa Rica and France’s coast by camper van.
