The waves offer something for everyone, from the gentle beginner breaks of Playgrounds and high-tide Lasso’s to the barreling tubes of Razors and Shipwrecks for advanced riders. 3. Explore the Vibrant Coral Reef
The crystal-clear waters scream for underwater exploration. Between sets, grab your mask and snorkel and dive into a world of colour. Vibrant fish weave through the coral reefs, while majestic manta rays, known as the “Angels of the Sea,” glide gracefully in the deeper waters. Snorkel boat trips depart the beachfront daily, taking you to idyllic bays and deserted beaches between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, offering encounters with tropical fish, turtles, and of course, the awe-inspiring manta rays.
4. Island Hopping Adventures
No trip to Nusa Lembongan is complete without exploring the neighbouring islands. Hop on a scooter or hitch a ride on a pick-up truck and discover the jungle-clad roads that connect the islands. Cross the iconic yellow bridge to Nusa Ceningan and witness the unique marine algae farms where locals cultivate seaweed. Continue to the western tip to watch the powerful waves crash at Mahana Point. If you’re feeling adventurous, take the plunge from the local warung (restaurant) perched on the cliffside!
