Joining Iain will be your coaching team which includes multiple-time national champions, Damian Prisk and Rob Barber plus the Bodyboard Holidays in-house trained team. The photography team is also trained to capture all of your rides from on land and in water, and deliver high-standard footage for you to watch back and take home with you.

Iain Campbell is originally from the surf-rich shores of Durban, South Africa. He caught the bodyboarding bug early at age 10 and never looked back. By 11, he was competing and has since racked up two national titles and six national tour wins before becoming the 2017 world champion. A multi-talented athlete, Iain is able to share his expertise and passion in a way that makes those around him even better bodyboarders. From local waves to global glory, Iain’s journey is pure surf stoke and he excels in the wave pool.

Rob Barber is a bit of a wave pool junky, having ridden wave pools in Wales, Scotland, Bristol and Tenerife. He’s previously been the Head Coach for the British and English Surfing & Bodyboarding teams and he was inspired to create unique bodyboarding experiences for like-minded people so he became the founder of Bodyboard Holidays!

Damian Prisk has been bodyboarding for over 30 years. He was one of the first to ride the wave pool in Bristol soon after it opened and has been a regular ever since. His technical riding at the pool is revered. He loves working with the guests of Bodyboard Holidays, sharing the stoke and helping others discover the fun world of bodyboarding.

ASAP! These coaching days are proving very popular, and with limited spaces available you should really get a wriggle on to avoid disappointment.
No, we take it in turns and the constant flow of waves barely leaves you time to catch your breath between waves. It’s a great workout out but you can rest if you’d like a break.
You’ll need enough money for lunch and snacks. Food and drinks at the Wave Pool Cafe are all reasonably priced.
Yes, of course, the more the merrier! However, we only have limited spaces on the wave machine itself.
All non-bodyboarding partners and friends are more than welcome to come and watch you shred.
